SOFIA ARLEN

My name is Sofia Arlen and I am a Junior at MAST Academy in Key Biscayne. During the fall semester of 2018, I studied abroad in Israel with Alexander Muss High School in Israel. When I came back, I was encouraged to further explore my Jewish identity. I am a Braman Fellow at Temple Beth Sholom as well as a member of Teens Advocating Together, a partnership between the Jewish Federation and the NAACP. I also love to play volleyball and hanging out with my friends.

whyDiller?

I first learned about Diller while I was studying abroad in Israel. My friend’s sister was  a Junior counselor at the time, and she loved the experience. I was excited to meet more Jewish teenagers in Miami while continuing to learn more about my Jewish identity. I also wanted to maintain my connection with Israel after I returning home. So far, Diller has exceeded my expectations, and I am so excited to continue to learn about all Diller has to offer.
